NEET-UG paper leak case: CBI takes rims Ranchi student into custody

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken into custody a first-year MBBS student of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case.

Delhi, India, July 19 (HBTV): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken into custody a first-year MBBS student of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case.     

The student was interrogated on Wednesday, following which she was taken into custody on Thursday. 

RIMS Public Relations Officer Rajiv Ranjan said the student belonged to the 2023 batch and she is now in the custody of the CBI.   

On Thursday, the CBI arrested four medical students from Patna AIIMS in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case. As per CBI sources, the four accused persons were identified as one Karan Jain, a Kumar Sanu, one Rahul Anand, and a Chandan Singh. They allegedly used to solve papers for the main accused person, Pankaj Singh.  

All the accused persons in the case have been sent to four days of CBI custody. 

The CBI arrested two more people in connection with the case on July 16. The arrested persons were identified as a Pankaj Kumar Singh and one Raju Singh. They were arrested from Patna and Hazaribagh, respectively.
